We nearly forgot that we had committed to have a booth of food selling on 8th May 2016 at Tokong Tow Boo Keong with the purpose of fund raising for Perak Thalassaemia Society. In case your are unsure what is Thalassaemia: Thalassemia is a blood disorder passed down through families (inherited) in which the body makes an abnormal form of hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen. The disorder results in large numbers of red blood cells being destroyed, which leads to anemia (source from Medline Plus.com).
Anyhow, with a phone call by May Peng and to Ceylyn Tay (Yi J), we got ourselves 100 packs of nasi lemak and 150 of charcoal buns for selling.
Among the questions that had been asked by them:
i. Nasi lemak sedap or not?;
ii. Tell me what is inside your nasi lemak where I need to explain very carefully on the ingredients inside.
iii. The RM 3 nasi lemak is pricey, can I have discount?? (Come on lah, charity is that one lah..adui)
iv. Where is the bao factory in Ipoh, can the buns be frozen & be keep and how can I get more variety of flavors? Ok, for this questions, you can log onto: http://baotoday.com/.
